    An enchanting world of sound

The Aussee Baroque Days 2026 will conclude with the enchanting ensemble Concerto die Margherita, which transports its listeners to other spheres on international stages. The concert will take place on Sunday, 23 August 2026 at 19:00 in the parish church of St. Paul in Bad Aussee.

    Classic alpine

    Open-air event

What happens when musicians from the Vienna Volksoper and a seasoned folk music trio come together? The result is "classic alpin". The ensemble, initiated by Renate Linortner, combines flute, strings and harp with harmonica and hammered dulcimer. Sigi Lemmerer's unusual arrangements seemingly merge classical and alpine music. Look forward to a sophisticated concert evening full of colourful nuances, flexibility and pure joy of playing!

Beethoven plus Festival 2026 - DIALOGUE OF VOICES

Johannes Brahms - A German Requiem. Out of a strong individual human experience, but without remaining trapped in it, his music grew from purely musical circumstances to impressive greatness. Simple, more drawing than colouring and above all free of literary ties, Brahms' personality and art have a strong force in the objective, in the general. As an integral part of the concert literature, his German Requiem is considered one of the highlights of Brahms's creative art and one of the most important works in the concert repertoire. Condemned as academic, epigonal and formalistic, Brahms was regarded as a traditionalist by the "expressive" and "future" musicians of his time. He was considered backward because he did not smash things up, but sought to preserve and increase what already existed. He renewed these possessions through the great artistic ideas of the past in a sense that pointed far into the future, thereby lending his art lasting topicality.
